System requirements

At least 2.3GB RAM per VM. 5GB in total as 2 VMs will be built. A laptop with 8GB is recommended.
At least 22GB of free space per VM. 44GB in total as 2 VMs will be built.
2GHz Processor (a lesser processor will be acceptable but slower)
Admin privileges on your box
Either Windows, Linux, Mac OS X or Solaris
Download and install VirtualBox from: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
Ability to download a 6G Database App Development VM from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/community/developer-vm/index.html * (It is recommended to download this prior to starting the workshop)

Please note that the Oracle VirtualBox appliance is for testing purposes only, as such it is unsupported and should not to be used in production environment. This virtual machine contains:

Oracle Linux 6.5
Oracle Database 12c Release 1 Enterprise Edition
Oracle XML DB
Oracle SQL Developer
Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler
Oracle Application Express
Hands-On-Labs (accessed via the Toolbar Menu in Firefox)

Experience with Oracle, networking, virtualisation and Linux is assumed in this workshop.
