01 - Copy or Download the RepAttack Setup Files

If you are doing RepAttack as an on-line self-paced or on-line instructor-led activity, download the zip file containing the required files from here.

If you are doing RepAttack as part of an in-class instructor-led activity, your instructor will supply you with the necessary files on a USB flash drive.

Accept the Virtual Box licence agreement:

Before running the setup scripts please ensure you alter the script to accept the Virtual Box licence agreement - this is detailed in 03 - Accept the License Agreement

 

Choose a Location for the Files

Unzip or copy the files into a directory of your choosing.

This is the location that the two virtual machines will be created and is referred to in this document as the REP_HOME directory. It is the location that requires the disk space as specified in the System Requirements section.

On Windows

The suggested location on a Windows host for REP_HOME is the home directory of the user you wish to run the virtual machines under. This is usually C:\Users\<username> however, you can copy/unzip the files to any location.

On Mac OS X

The suggested location on a Mac OSX host for REP_HOME is the home directory of the user you wish to run the virtual machines under. This is usually /Users/<username> however, you can copy/unzip the files to any location.

On Linux

The suggested location on a Linux host for REP_HOME is the home directory of the user you wish to run the virtual machines under. This is usually /home/<username> however, you can copy/unzip the files to any location.

After you have transferred and unzipped files onto your host machine REP_HOME directory, you should have the following directory structure:
