Dbvisit Standby Troubleshooting

If for any reason Dbvisit Standby fails to function or an error message is produced, you can log a call with Dbvisit Standby support.

It is important to provide as much detail as possible about the error or failure including uploading the relevant configuration and trace files.

The Dbvisit Standby trace file can be identified as follows:

  • The trace filename will start with a number (process id), then the name dbvisit, then the database name and then the timestamp and will end with extension .trc.
    Example trace file name: 3118_dbvisit_prod10g_200610091322.trc
  • The location of the trace file is determined by the TMP variable in the Dbvisit Standby Database Configuration (DDC) file.

Please forward the trace file to Dbvisit support through our website at http://support.dbvisit.com.
