Deleting Old PLOGS

Description

Automatically removing plog files or deleting plog files

Solution

The plog files are automatically removed by both Mine and Apply processes when they are no longer needed. The variable LOG_OBSOLETE_AGE_PLOG influences this behaviour. By default it is set to 0. By setting LOG_OBSOLETE_AGE_PLOGto a number of days, then the plog files must be so many days old before they are removed.

If old plog files are not being deleted, then the reason could be that they belong to a previous or orphan replication. Every time *-all.sh is run, a new replication is started. This only knows about the files generated by itself, so old files will not be auto removed.
