Problem Description

This article explains how to optimise the performance of Dbvisit Replicate. 

Solution

Three simple strategies for improving the processing speed of Dbvisit Replicate include:

  1. Fast disks: use these for the PLOG files in particular.

  2. Ensure that there are no network issues. Intermittent issues can be detected as dropped connections in the Dbvisit Replicate MINE/APPLY log files.

  3. Give the APPLY process more memory.
